Experience a traditional Sami reindeer sledding adventure at Camp Tamok, just outside Tromsø. Enjoy storytelling, reindeer feeding, and a warm meal inside a lavvu tent after your ride through the snowy Arctic landscape.
Depart Tromsø by bus and travel through scenic Arctic landscapes on a comfortable 90-minute drive to Camp Tamok in Tamokdalen. On arrival, your local guide will provide thermal suits, boots, and gloves to ensure you stay warm throughout the day.
Begin your visit with a short transfer to the reindeer camp, where a small herd awaits. Take part in an authentic Sami experience as you glide through the snow on a reindeer sled, followed by feeding and close-up encounters with these gentle animals. During the visit, your guide will share stories about the Sami culture and its long history of reindeer herding.
Return to Camp Tamok for a freshly prepared hot meal served inside a traditional lavvu tent. Gather around the fire with coffee or tea, enjoy a hearty stew, and take a moment to relax before returning to Tromsø in the afternoon.
