Join a small group tour from Tromsø to chase the northern lights in the Arctic night. Enjoy a light dinner by a campfire, guided in Spanish, with digital photos included.
This northern lights experience begins at the Northern Norway Travel shop in central Tromsø, where your Spanish-speaking guide will welcome you with a warm drink and a short briefing about auroras, safety, and the evening's weather forecast.
You’ll then head out in a comfortable Mercedes Sprinter minibus, driving between 40 minutes and 2.5 hours depending on conditions, to find the best location for aurora viewing. Once there, a traditional campfire with reindeer skins will be set up away from city lights.
While you enjoy a light local meal and hot drinks under the Arctic sky, your guide will take professional photos to capture your evening. At the end of the night, you'll be dropped off at your hotel in central Tromsø.
The tour follows eco-friendly practices, using reusable cups, plastic-free containers, and minimizing environmental impact.
Tour starts at 18:15 from Tromsø Havn Prostneset (ground floor, across from Clarion The Edge). Please wear warm layers, including wool thermals, insulated boots, gloves, and a hat. Thermal suits are provided. A minimum of 5 guests is required. Restroom access is only guaranteed at the start. Some walking on snow or ice may be required. Northern lights are a natural phenomenon and sightings are not guaranteed. No refund is offered if the aurora is not visible. Bring a reusable water bottle, your camera, and a passport or ID in case we cross into Finland.
